PIGEON POINT LIGHTHOUSE 143th Anniversary Celebration on Saturday November 14th 2015. Please mark this date in your calendar and be sure to stop by and check out this iconic lighthouse which is right on our doorstep. Pigeon Point Lighthouse is located at 210 Pigeon Point Road, off Hwy 1, Pescadero. Oh and Lighthouse String Band will be around also on this very special and exciting day.

Harley Farms Goat Dairy

The Lighthouse String Band will play at the Harley Farms Christmas Faire on December 13th 2015 in Pescadoro.

Sea Chanties in San Francisco!

Along with other groups and individuals, the Lighthouse String Band participated in a special anniversary celebration dedicated to the "Sea Chantey" in San Francisco on October 1, 2011. The band performed at mid-pier near the historic ship Balclutha. Everyone was welcome to participate in a sing-along later on that evening. The Chantey Sing takes place on the first Saturday of every month. You can join the Hyde Street Pier Chantey Sing Facebook Group.

Celtic Music in El Cerrito

Maybe you saw the Lighthouse String Band at the El Cerrito Free Folk Festival on Saturday October 22, 2011. We presented a lively blend of Irish and Celtic music.

Celtic Music at the San Francisco Free Folk Festival

In June 2011, the Lighthouse String Band played on the Pete Seeger Stage at the 35th annual San Francisco Free Folk Festival, Where we presented a lively blend of Irish and Celtic music.

In June 2013, the Lighthouse String Band has the honor of performing again on the Pete Seeger Stage at the 37th annual San Francisco Free Folk Festival, Where we will present a lively new blend of Irish and Celtic music. Come and see us!

Irish Music at the Filoli Center

Holiday Music Celebrations came to the Filoli Center in Woodside, CA. The Lighthouse String Band played both Celtic and Holiday Music on the main stage in the Grand Ballroom on November 26th and December 1, 2011.

Open Session in Half Moon Bay

The Band sponsors an open jam session in Half Moon Bay on most Sundays from 11:30 AM - 3:00 PM, at the San Benito House on Main Street. Players and fans of all ages are welcome. 50% of the proceeds from tips are donated to the food bank.

Support of Non-profits in the San Francisco Bay Area

The Band has also donated their time to the support of non-profits in the Bay Area, notably benefit concerts for the Anne Darling School in San Jose, the Hospice of the Valley in San Jose, and fund raisers for breast cancer research at Safeway in Half Moon Bay.
